- BAS KILL is a formulation having Nuclear Polyhedrosis Virus particles of specific pests.
BAS KILL is very effective and target specific. It will not affect the pest or beneficial insects other than the target pests. Hence it is very safe to beneficial organisms and humanbeings.
- What are the Bas Kill formulations available at BASARASS?
Bas Kill (Spodo) - it controls only the Tobacco caterpillar called Spodoptera on several major crops.
- How to identify Bas Kill infected caterpillar in a larva?
The infected larvae become dull in color and inactive. Feeding is reduced. Larvae develop pinkish white accumulation on the ventral side and become flaccid. Skin becomes very fragile and ruptures on slight disturbance. Some diseased larvae climb to the top of the branch and hangs upside down which is commonly known as �Tree Top Disease�. Complete kill is expected in 4 to 5 days after the spray.

- How and when to apply Bas Kill?
The first spray of Bas Kill should be carried out as soon as some newly hatched larvae are noticed. Subsequent sprays to follow 1 week or 10 days after the first spray.
While applying, mix 200 ml of Bas Kill with 100 ml of non-detergent wetting agent like Sandovit and 1 kg of fruit sugar or jaggery for 1-acre spray. Spray the solution as normal chemical pesticide solution.
