Satin Weave Fabrics

Fabric, that is very smooth and has lustrous face generally on the right side. It originated as a woven silk fabric and its effect depends on a special construction. The smoothness is produced by a special satin weave which has long 'floats' of warp over weft. The warp is very closely set and there are usually at least twice as many warp yarns per cm than weft.
